Central Sweden - Sommen Lake
About the camp
We provide an awesome, one-week fishing in one of Sweden’s best pike anglers’ paradise. The Sommen is the 12th biggest lake in Sweden with its more than 13 thousand hectares and 250 kilometres coastline. The lake is 13 kilometres long and thanking to its narrow width, there are no big waves during windy weather. You can fish mainly for pikes and perches, but there are also plenty of pike perches and different kinds of trout. Our host is providing not only fishing maps, but up to date information about the best fishing places. Trolling is allowed on Sommen Lake.
How to get there
You can drive by own car from Karlskrona ferry station, it is 260 kilometres in Swedish territory, on excellent roads. If you prefer flying, we recommend you to arrive at Stockholm-Skavsta airport (Wizzair, Ryanair), then it is only a short driving by rented car to the fishing camp.
Accomodation
We provide comfortable, well equipped wooden houses with 3 bedrooms, all together for 6 persons. Bedclothes has to brought by yourself. Houses has to be cleaned by the guests before leaving, or cleaning can be ordered upon request for extra charge. Nearest shopping is in the small town of Tranås, which is located about 20 kilometres from the camp.
Boats
We provide a 15 HP boat for each house, plus additional 4 HP boats can be booked upon request. There must be maximum 3 anglers in each boat. Fuel has to be paid extra, the host can take care of the petrol if requested, although for a little higher price.
2 pikes per house per day can be killed, only in size between 45 and 75 centimetres. There is a C&R rule for all pikes above 75 cm! You can kill 2 trouts per day with spinning, in case of trolling only 2 trouts per boat, even if there are more than one angler. Adventure Fishing is promoting C&R fishing everywhere. Those who break the fishing rules, have to pay a fine, plus the might stop angling for the rest of the week.

*Price depends on the number of participants and boats. Above price is calculated for 5 persons and 2 boats. Fishing licence has to be paid upon arrival, it costs 250 SEK.
